Key Qualifications and Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CMA) is preferred.
Proven experience of 7+ years in financial accounting and reporting, preferably in the UAE.
Extensive experience in the maritime shipping industry.
Strong understanding of accounting principles, practices, and regulations.
Familiarity with UAE VAT and Corporate Tax regulations.
Proficiency in advanced Excel, financial modeling, and analytics.
Fluency in both English and Russian languages.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment.
Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience in managing and developing teams.
Responsibilities:
Oversee the complete range of financial accounting and reporting functions.
Manage and supervise financial transactions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
Prepare and review financial statements and reports such as balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow statements.
Ensure adherence to accounting standards, regulations, and reporting requirements.
Maintain compliance with tax laws and regulations.
Ensure accurate and up-to-date financial records and documentation.
Coordinate and support external audits to ensure compliance with audit requirements.
Ensure compliance with banking requirements and procedures.
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
Perform ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting as required.
Develop and implement financial policies and procedures.
Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management.
Lead and mentor the accounting team, ensuring continuous professional development.
Ensure all financial operations are in compliance with the company’s policies and procedures.
