Dubai based shipping company is looking for an Accountant.
Key Qualifications and Requirements:
Proven ~ 5 years experience in financial reporting and compliance (in UAE preferred). Experience in shipping company would be an advantage.
Strong understanding of accounting principles, practices, and regulations.
Familiarity with UAE VAT and Corporate Tax regulations.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Proficiency in advanced Excel, financial modelling, and analytics.
Educational background in finance and economics or equivalent.
Professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, or CMA is preferred.
Fluent in English and Russian (preferred).
Personal Characteristics:
Detail-oriented and meticulous in financial transactions.
Excellent communication skills. Ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment.
Responsibilities:
Manage the complete range of financial accounting and reporting.
Manage financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
Prepare financial statements and reports, such as balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow statements.
Ensure adherence to accounting standards, regulations, and reporting requirements.
Maintain compliance with tax laws and regulations.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and documentation.
Coordinate and support external audits to ensure compliance with audit requirements.
Ensure compliance with banking requirements and procedures.
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
Perform ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting as required.
